Wade Cook

Yet another real estate guru. A veteran direct marketer since the 1980’s and having success with real estate, Wade actually ended up going bankrupt and was out of the scene for quite some time. In the 1990’s, Cook gained notoriety for paid programs which he used to market investment seminars. He was known for being able to teach people how to double their money every 2.5 to 4 months.

The government made him retract that angle. He is a proponent of rolling stocks and has been very vocal about stock splits being a good way to make money. The WCFC (Wade Cook Financial Corporation) filed for bankruptcy in 2002 and he has had several counts of tax evasion on his record as well.

On February 20, 2007, Wade was found guilty of seven charges of failing to pay taxes on 8.9 million dollars. On May 16, 2007, Laura Cook plead guilty to obstructing federal tax laws. Wade was sentenced to 88 months while Laura was sentenced to 18 months. Wade Cook was also forced to pay back $3.75 Million in owed back taxes.

I think you could only assume that I do NOT recommend getting involved with this guy.
