Network Marketing has been a trend setter in the Home Based Business classification. These things have been going my whole life (I’m 36) and people have been either getting scammed OR making lots of money doing it. The truth is that very few people make good money with network marketing/MLM programs because the marketing approach is filled with problems.

Amway, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Herbalife, etc. are all household names thanks to Network Marketing. My advice is to do your homework on the company itself. Make sure they’ve been in business for years and try to find out if they are on the NYSE. Also, find out if the company is debt free or not. No MLM or network marketing company has the solution to provide massive income without enormous work and resources so don’t be the statistic that fails by being blind.

You must research that opportunity and ask questions just to know if they are legitimate or not and THEN you can focus on the compensation package. You will ALWAYS do better promoting a product/service that you personally use. Exaggeration is SO common in this field because the 5% that actually make millions are the stats that you will hear about. They don’t mention the 95% failure rate so beware of that.
