As of the date of writing this, if you go to getpaidtoshop.com and check out their website, there is little information about their services. They have a 4 year old testimonial from the Wall Street Journal and a bunch of ads on their website. I found it most interesting that they have a "scam alert". It says as follows :

"If you receive a check in the mail that appears to be from us, DO NOT CASH THE CHECK!
This is a part of a mystery shopping scam ran out of Canada and we are NOT associated with it. If you have been a victim of this scam, please contact your state attorney general."

Then they have a place to read more about the scam with a hotlink. My personal opinion is this : If you were interested in the possibility of "getting paid to shop" or being a "mystery shopper" and you go to their website and find that it doesn't offer ANY information about the opportunity or services and has a huge "scam alert", I would say don't be involved with this.  That's just me.
