Dave Ramsey
David Ramsey has been around along time and is associated with many Christian organizations by doing a lot in this industry. He is an author, businessman, and a radio personality in Nashville. He is best known probably for his books dealing with financial advice. He uses good common sense, the old fashioned way of finances. He advises to pay off your smallest debts first, and build from there.
This is the complete opposite of what most debt consolidation companies use. He encourages people to stay away from credit and pay cash for everything. He doesn't give his products away for free of course, so you need to pay cash for them also. He is definitely a sought after "guru" in this market and I know he knows what he's talking about. I've learned many lessons the hard way and having some of his information in my early 20's could have saved me a ton of money!
If financial advice is something you want information about, I would recommend that you check into the teachings of Dave Ramsey. I have personally, along with my church members, purchased and utilized these techniques with rave reviews.
