Cafe Press offers an opportunity for their members to create an income by selling/marketing their novelty items such as t-shirts, cups, mugs, coasters, etc. They allow their members to create their own themes for the merchandise and market it themselves. For someone that would want to add more products to sell for their theme based website, it is as easy as linking to their site.
They also allow members to mark up their products so you can make serious profits. They do have an affiliate program as well. The downfall is that it would be difficult selling these items as a primary money maker. These are impulse purchases and not based on need or desire. Coupling these products with something else that you sell would be ideal.
So, in other words, you'd have to sell a whole heck of a lot of these products to make enough money to support a family but Cafe Press could be a nice addition to your arsenal if you're into these types of products.
